What is in place

• Both sliders are native range inputs. Arrow keys, Home, End, Page Up and Page Down all work, the value is announced, and neither slider is a custom control pretending to be one.
• Every control is reachable by keyboard, in a logical order, with a visible focus ring that meets the 3:1 non-text contrast requirement. A skip link is the first focusable thing on every page.
• The quantity sheet is a real table — a <table> with a <caption>, scoped headers and a footer row. It is not a grid of divs, so a screen reader can navigate it cell by cell and announce the row and column it is in.
• The timeline has a text equivalent. The horizontal graphic is hidden from assistive technology and the same steps are published underneath as an ordered list with times.
• Colour is never the only signal. Steps that can be done ahead are marked with a hatch pattern as well as a colour, so the distinction survives greyscale printing and colour blindness.
• Body text meets 4.5:1 and large text meets 3:1. The measured ratios are recorded in the comment at the top of the stylesheet.
• Figures are tabular. Digits are the same width throughout, so columns line up and are readable at a glance.
• Motion is honoured. If your system asks for reduced motion, every transition and smooth scroll on the site is switched off.
• Zoom and reflow. The layout reflows to one column and stays usable at 400% zoom and at 320px wide, without a horizontal scroll on the page as a whole. The quantity table gets its own scroll container rather than being reflowed into cards, because a table that has stopped being a table can no longer be checked against what is on the counter.
• There is a print stylesheet, because the output of this tool ends up on a fridge door. Navigation, imagery and controls are dropped; the sheet, the timeline and the notices remain.
• The food safety and allergen notices are never inside a collapsed panel, never dismissible and never obscured by the free tier's watermark.

Known gaps

• The timeline graphic is wide and scrolls horizontally on small screens. The list underneath carries the same information and is the primary version for anyone not using a pointer.
• We have not yet had an independent audit. The claims above are our own testing with a keyboard, VoiceOver and an automated checker.
